Nifty 50 heatmap
Every constituent as a tile, sized by market capitalisation and grouped by sector — so the index’s move is the map’s move, not an average of fifty equal squares.

Tile width within a sector is exactly proportional to market capitalisation. Sector band heights are proportional down to a floor — Telecom is one stock and 6% of the index, and a band that small would be unreadable — so the biggest sectors are drawn slightly smaller than they are. Market caps come from the same figures the fund pages use and are a few days old. Prices refresh every 15 minutes during market hours and hold the close outside them: this is a map, not a trading screen. Constituents are NSE’s published Nifty 50 list; open a tile for every mutual fund that owns it.
