The 2026 rank, 19th, is four places below its best.

27 schemes, mostly equity

Counting each open-ended scheme once by its Direct Growth plan, Canara Robeco has 27: 13 equity, 10 debt and 4 hybrid, with no index funds and no fund-of-funds. The largest by average assets in July–September 2026:

The cost advantage

On AMFI's expense filings of early October 2026, nearly every Canara Robeco equity fund charges below its category's median Direct fee:

Fund Direct TER Category median
Large Cap 0.63% 1.06%
Multi Cap 0.67% 0.96%
Aggressive Hybrid 0.69% 1.08%
Flexi Cap 0.71% 0.95%
ELSS Tax Saver 0.72% 1.07%
Small Cap 0.73% 0.90%
Large and Mid Cap 0.77% 1.07%
Focused 0.82% 1.09%
Value 0.86% 1.24%
Mid Cap 0.89% 0.94%
Infrastructure 1.18% 1.15%

Ten of the eleven are below the median, by between 0.05 points (Mid Cap) and 0.43 points (Large Cap); only the Infrastructure fund is above.

The ranks do not follow the cost

Large Cap −6.43% 9.22% 15 of 30 7.59% 16 of 27

Only the Mid Cap (12th of 29) and Focused (13th of 27) funds are in the upper half of their categories over three years, and the Multi Cap fund is 14th of 23. The larger part of the house, the Large and Mid Cap, Small Cap, Flexi Cap and ELSS funds, ranks in the lower half, and the Large and Mid Cap fund, the biggest of all, is 23rd of 26 over five. The Large Cap fund is mid-table.

A low fee does not buy a high rank: a fund that charges 0.4 points less starts each year 0.4 points ahead of a peer with the same portfolio, but funds rarely hold the same portfolio. What the numbers do not tell you

One house, one period. Three-year ranks end on the same day for every fund but start in a market that favoured some styles over others.

Debt is a small part of the story. The house's debt book is 10 schemes and its Liquid fund, like every liquid fund, swings with corporate cash.

Cheap is not best. Fees are one input among several; none of this is a recommendation to buy or sell any fund.
