What is Key Information Memorandum?
Also known as KIM
The SID condensed to a few pages and attached to the application form.
Everything in it is in the SID, which is why this site reads the SID and the Scheme Summary Document rather than the KIM. Useful as the quickest official read of a scheme's terms before investing.
For the formula and the constants behind this figure, see Methodology.
More on the filings
The SEBI-mandated documents every scheme fact on this site is read from.
- Scheme Information Document
- The scheme's full offer document: objective, asset-allocation limits, strategy, risks, managers, loads and expenses.
- Statement of Additional Information
- The fund house's own document: sponsor, trustee, AMC directors, key personnel and service providers.
- Scheme Summary Document
- A fixed SEBI template of ~50 facts per scheme — allotment date, minimums, SIP terms, exit load, managers, risk class — filed as a spreadsheet.
- Potential Risk Class
- A 3×3 cell for debt schemes: credit risk (A low, B moderate, C high) against interest-rate risk (I low, II moderate, III high).
